Vice-Chair, Open Source Software Committee, American Bar Association (ABA)

Attorney, Rian Kinney, was again selected for a national leadership position with the American Bar Association’s, Science and Technology Division.

First selected in 2019, Rian has worked to create a bridge between attorneys practicing in Open Source, and technologists innovating and applying U.S. laws to Open Source projects.

On August 18, 2020, Kinney Firm friend Chris Teitzel, Founder and CEO of Cellar Door Media and Lockr.io presented Privacy: Where Policy Meets Technology to the Open Source Committee. The open dialogue between attorneys and technologists provides valuable insights into real-world challenges and solutions and how both parties can effectively work together for the best outcome.
